Contemporary Arts Center



Founded in 1939 as the Modern Art Society, the Contemporary Arts Center is dedicated to exhibiting art of the last 10 years.
The gallery focuses on new developments in painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, performance art and new media, presenting 12 to 18 exhibitions and 20 to 40 performances annually. Special "Contemporary Fridays," small performances by local artists, take place every third Friday of the month starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 at the door.
Hours: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 6 p.m.
Admission: Adults, $6.50; seniors (ages 65 and up), $5.50; students (with ID), $4.50; children ages 3 to 13, $3.50 children ages 3 and under and members, free. Admission is free to the public on Mondays from 5 to 9 p.m.
